Bagel Bite #1: ADHD & Friendship
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
No one panic, but we’re rebranding Bagel Bites in our first ever somewhat-mini episode. We would apologize for the sudden switch-’em-up in formatting this week, but this is an ADHD podcast where we’re consistently inconsistent and that’s what you love about us.
Bagel Bites are shorterish episodes that will focus on an ADHD topic, both to bring you more ADHD content and to give Grace an occasional much-needed break from editing our long-ass episodes late into the night. Next week we promise to make it up to you with an episode so long, you’ll say, "this is way too long.” Until then, we hope to keep your mouths full and your tongues hot with this scrumptious lil’ Bagel Bite, where we’re discussing the challenges and quirks of making and keeping friends as ADHDers.

Petpisode 14: Cat Homework
Thursday Feb 03, 2022
Thursday Feb 03, 2022
In this special petisode episode we’re showing off our debate team skills that don’t exist because we didn’t do debate team and arguing the pros and cons of pet ownership for ADHDers. We get to the bottom of hard-hitting questions such as: What are pets? Are snakes the fish of reptiles? Should you bash a cannibal fish to save the lives of others?
Plus, we’re sharing some of our pet-childrens’ many Quirks, unearthing our long-buried squirrel trauma for content, and you can bet your bottom dollar Kristin talks about her cat’s IBS more than once. Grab your bathing costume and piggy-dive on in, the water's...weird.

Ep. 13: Big in Our (Yogurt) Pants
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
We're a thousand weeks into January and our brains are scrambled, so we'll keep this brief (but still somehow make it too long). In ADHD learning corner we’re discussing the 7 executive functions (or lack thereof), followed by a mind-blowing Hobby Collectors so succinct, you’ll swear it wasn’t there at all.
If you’re sick of hearing us talk about only ourselves all the time you’re in luck, because we’re reading you some phenomenal write-ins from our *~quirky~* token Gen Z listener followed by a middle school PIZZA SECRET from a notorious rabble-rouser who has made the brave decision to publicly claim this secret as her own, backlash be damned. Strap on your knee pads and human crawlipede your way into Episode 13!

Get out your tuppies and don’t forget to put down a placemat, because we’ve got a sloppy bean and cheese burrito of an episode for you this week. For starters, it’s Capricorn season and Kristin is celebrating a birthday! That’s right, ol’ Merrylegs is turning 32, but we aren’t ready to put her out to pasture quite yet.
Instead, we’re Mario Partying and goose goofin’ our way into a special video game edition of Hobby Collectors, complete with mind-blowingly accurate sound effects and musical reenactment. In ADHD learning corner, we’re discussing the traits of inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive type ADHD while making sure to highlight some of our favorite ADHD strengths, something we don’t always remember to do.
If that’s not enough for you, we’ll uncover the shocking truth behind which celebrity turtle has ADHD in a groundbreaking display of investigative journalism, just one of our many ADHD gifts and talents. Hear all that and more, only in Episode 12.

Ep. 11: Hash Brownie Baby Cakes
Thursday Jan 13, 2022
Thursday Jan 13, 2022
It’s cold as the dickens out there, but we can’t stay inside forever, can we? We probably shouldn’t, which is why this Hobby Collectors we’re chatting about skiing, one of our shared childhood hobbies and favorite dopamine sources, as well as some equally fun alternative winter hobbies if you aren’t Daddy Warbucks.
Before that, Kristin uses D.A.R.E-level scare tactics to keep an impressionable youth away from the Devil’s lettuce and Grace shares her secrets on how to achieve the crawl body of your dreams in what may be our most embarrassing episode to date. You know what they say though, you gotta crawl before you can rock climb, so come join us in the proverbial basement for some floor time and giggles, only in this week's episode.

Ep. 10: Legends of the Hidden Butlers
Thursday Jan 06, 2022
Thursday Jan 06, 2022
Look which two ADHD-addled 90’s babes made it to Episode 10! We’re celebrating with a little TLC, some Nickelodeon GaS classics, and explaining outdated references for way too long even though literally nobody asked for it.
Our ADHD topic is magical thinking, a concept that may sound fun in theory, but in reality, may force you to confront your own behaviors and self-deceptions. But in a fun way! Then we get into those segments and share a couple of listener emails, including a stomach-churning Pizza Secret that will both delight and disgust you.
Grace couldn’t shut the hell up about rock climbing and Hobby Collectors became far too long to edit in time so we’re skipping it this week, but fear not, it will rappel its way into a future episode soon. And don’t worry, I already hate myself for that joke more than you ever could.

Ep. 9: Meat Candling Into the New Year
Thursday Dec 30, 2021
Thursday Dec 30, 2021
2021 may have been a piss-drenched garbage fire in many ways, but on the flipside we did start this podcast and that’s something to celebrate, right? This episode we’re doing a year in review as we look back on where we started all those months ago, then look to the future with some ADHD-friendly tips on how to set a few tiny, realistic resolutions for 2022 that won’t leave you hating yourself a week into the new year.
After we get all that pesky reading over with, we chortle our way through a bevy of mullet updates, banister trauma, a meat candle recipe you didn’t know you needed, and so much more.

Ep. 8: Chef Santa & the Hedgehog Terrarium That Never Was
Thursday Dec 16, 2021
Thursday Dec 16, 2021
In a glorious display of that consistent inconsistency ADHDers are so famous for, we're getting this episode out slightly later than usual, but it's still technically Thursday so we're counting it as a win. Last Minute Grace never fails, except for when she does.
In Episode 8 we chat about emotional dysregulation in ADHD and some tips to work on it, share our ghosts of hobbies that never were, and of course, serenade you with Synchronized Night Boat's newest holiday hit: Chef Santa. We don't even know how to summarize what goes on in this episode really, and also our brains are tired, so we'll just let you discover the surprises waiting around every corner on your own.
Next week we're taking the week off to rest our sleepy, dopamine-deprived brains and chug some nog, but we'll be back the following week stronger than ever, just in time to give some helpful tips on setting reasonable goals for the New Year (if you must).
Enjoy this mishmash of conversation, songs, and giggles, and have a wonderful holiday break, ya Christmas birds!

Ep. 7: Secret Carrot
Thursday Dec 09, 2021
Thursday Dec 09, 2021
Here at WOAF we’re intimately familiar with the annual (interpretive) dance of ADHDers buying gifts for the holidays: we think about starting, tell ourselves we have plenty of time, then suddenly it’s somehow two days before Christmas and we’re frantically looking up mall closing times in a panic. “Next year I’ll definitely get on top of things and start super early, no way I’m making this mistake again,” we tell ourselves with a level of delusional optimism only ADHDers can achieve--we’re so quirky.
This episode we’re hoping to help you (and ourselves) break free from this ADHD-fueled Groundhog Day holiday nightmare with some insights into why ADHDers have difficulty with gift-planning and overspending, how to work on impulsivity, and a few easy ways to shop responsibly. We also share our best ADHD gift ideas, though Kristin goes off the rails a bit when the subject of toe socks comes up.
In Hobby Collectors, we go through a range of easy-to-pick-up hobbies that are great for cranking out homemade gifts if shopping isn’t your style and/or your stick drawings are shit. On top of all our great advice, we find plenty of time to giggle about faux-bleeding street children and classic toothpaste pranks. Whether you’re braving the stores, planning a poignant interpretive dance to a Shel Silverstein poem, or something in between, this is your sign to start NOW! But, like, after you listen to our episode preferably.
