Ep. 43: RSD & Me
Thursday Dec 22, 2022
Thursday Dec 22, 2022
The painful sting of rejection comes for us all at some point, but when you have ADHD that rejection mighty morphs into shame’s final form, rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), and burrows deep into your brain body and soul, waiting to gutpunch you with memories of your past failures around every corner. And if you say that description is dramatic, it will make me cry so please don’t.
In this episode we’re exploring what RSD is and how it leads to perfectionism and people-pleasing, pondering some of the theories behind why it happens to us, and sharing some of our personal RSD triggers, like being shushed, or accidentally buying tall apples.
Whether rejection sensitive dysphoria is trauma, an ADHD trait, or a third thing, we know that the pain of it is all too real. So why not think about it a bunch this holiday season? After all, it’s there with you always, so you might as well have a laugh about it with your two best buds.

Ep. 42: Generational Spaghetti Trauma with Priscilla (Pt. 2)
Thursday Dec 15, 2022
Thursday Dec 15, 2022
We promised you some silly segs this week, so silly segs are what you’ll get. This episode we invited former Hot Topic employee and Tide Pod Challenge survivor, Priscilla, back into the pod loft to share all the little ADHD things that make her oh-so-quirky. From her sage plant mom advice to her clever guest-created Urkle-based Alternative Segment to her inability to turn left, Priscilla will keep you laughing while simultaneously inspiring you to get out there and pound that sand.
Plus, Grace embraces her eclectic side, Kristin is a noodle person who may not be a strong multi-tasker but she has a job, and we all take sides during a heated debate over the proper chew-to-swallow ratio that goes on for far longer than you would like.

Thursday Dec 08, 2022
Thursday Dec 08, 2022
Get out your handkerchiefs and prepare to feel inspired as shit, because this episode we’re inviting devout listener and fellow weirdo Priscilla into the pod loft, and by golly can she string a motivational sentence together better than we ever could.
In Part 1 Priscilla dives into her ADHD diagnosis journey and all the ways it’s changed her life so far, her ADHD strengths and needs, and how her Neurofibromatosis, a comorbidity of ADHD, impacted her growing up. We’re also talking Lil’ Accomplishments, pet nutrition, addiction, and whatever else pops into our quirky little brains.
Next week we’re getting silly with Segs in Part 2, but for now, come join the first half of our wonderful conversation with Priscilla, where she’ll give you a much-needed positive reframe on your ADHD traits and inspire you to turn your dreams into goals, whether you want to or not.

Bagel Bite #12: False Laundry Starts
Thursday Dec 01, 2022
Thursday Dec 01, 2022
At this stage of the podcast we know our listeners have come to expect a high level of performance and organization from us, but not every episode can strictly adhere to a structured outline or topic and that’s just reality, so get over it.
In this Greasy little Bagel Bite we’re bringing you a scrumptious smorg, stuffed to the brim with email trauma, listener comments, hot dishwasher tips, chicken sweaters, and more.
We may not teach you much this episode, but we will certainly enable your ADHD habits and encourage you to just keep doing what you’re doing, even if what you’re doing results in a bathtub full of mail, and isn’t that all you’ve ever really wanted to hear?

Ep. 40: Working the ‘Fork: A Composting Story
Thursday Nov 24, 2022
Thursday Nov 24, 2022
Sharpen your finest pitchforks and grab a fistful of garbage, but leave your poops at home, because this episode Kristin is laying down the warm vague facts on composting, and while she may not be an expert just yet, she knows for a fact that poops do NOT go in there, so stop. asking.
Plus, Grace has a pocket full of worms and is a cheese girl through and through, Kristin shares a milk secret she’s not actually sorry about, and we both stay true to our life motto –start low, stay low– as we derail the conversation time and time again to bicker about crayons, feet, and everything in between.
Much like this episode, composting can be a fetid and time-consuming undertaking for the ADHD brain, but someone’s gotta put bugs on the table, as they say. So come give composting a try, we can’t promise it’ll be worth it, but we can tell you for sure that you need to keep your poops where they belong, we cannot reiterate that enough.

Ep. 39: ADHD Paralysis & The Brick of Waffle
Thursday Nov 17, 2022
Thursday Nov 17, 2022
Are you stuck in an endless loop of putting way too many tasks on your to-do list for the day, thereby overwhelming yourself with how much needs to be done, getting stuck on the couch wasting the day away unable to start on anything because you don’t know where to start so you just don’t, eventually going to bed having done absolutely nothing from said to-do list, feeling shitty and guilty about it, only to repeat it the very next day, having apparently learned nothing?
Samesies, which is why this episode we’re trying our best to explain what ADHD paralysis is and giving you our best tips and tricks for getting unstuck and into motion during those times when you’re facing down your own wall of awful/brick of waffle. This topic may not be dear to our hearts, but it is certainly near, so come join us as we teach you how to trick yourself like a child into getting started.

Bagel Bite #11: Bullying Stockholm Syndrome
Thursday Nov 10, 2022
Thursday Nov 10, 2022
Remember how we said we started this podcast to spite our enemies? Well, today’s the day we really get that ball rolling.
In this bleep-filled Bagel Bite, we’re saying loser loser with a twist, whatever kiss this to our middle school bullies as we talk about shame, embarrassment, Myspace, and the importance of nurturing your weirdness. Plus, Kristin shares the situations in which she would cyberbully someone, Grace’s guidance counselor turns her into a (justified) bully, and we both make a call-out for your best worst coming-of-age stories and juiciest middle school scandals–just remember to keep that trauma light and easy, breezy, beautiful Cover Girl.

Pop that champagne and roll up a joint, because WOAF is turning one this week and dammit, we deserve to be celebrated.
We’ve flawlessly and effortlessly kept this podcast horse train on the tracks for a full year now, so to commemorate our ginormous ADHD accomplishment we’re spending this episode doing a year in review. We’re looking back at how far we’ve come, what we’ve learned so far, favorite episodes, all the ways this podcast has changed us, and all the ways it hasn’t.
Plus, we puddle-jump from one silly segment to the next as Kristin dives thighs-first into a new cult lifestyle, Grace longs for the simpler days of the bowl cut, and we both share Spanish class trip Pizza Secrets that live in our middle school hearts forever.
What started as a way to spite our enemies has blossomed into a somewhat legitimate ADHD podcast with a loyal fanbase of fellow weirdos who support us in our ongoing mission to spite our enemies, and how beautiful is that? Come celebrate a year of WOAF in this chaotic but well-meaning look-backisode, we couldn’t have made it here without you. Well, most of you.

Thursday Oct 20, 2022
Thursday Oct 20, 2022
Dating, huh? We love the stuff, which is why this episode we’re diving into the ins and outs of how ADHD shows up in dating and relationships. From communication to forgetfulness to a strict adherence to tuppie instructions, we’ll break down all the reasons why dating an ADHDer can be difficult, but worth it.
We may not remember to pay the water bill every month, but who needs water when you have a quick wit and a bunch of half-completed tasks around the house to keep you wet? Come check out Part 1 of what will surely be a never-ending series about ADHD and relationships, because we can never shut the fuck up about anything, at all, ever, and that’s what you love about us.
